Sammi Winchester sat in the window of the local coffee shop as she watched the rain pour down the streets of town. Port Angeles, Washington it was always raining there and the truth was she didn't mind. The gloom here seemed to match the general mood she carried around with her. She turned her eyes to the strolled where both babies were fast asleep. She smiled slightly, they really looked like little angels when they were sleeping, it was the screaming she couldn't handle. The first two months had been really bad, she couldn't handle herself she was alone, afraid, completely unaware of what she was doing, but they'd gotten into a bit of a learning curve now. She should have been at home sleeping trying to get some form of rest but she wasn't tired, she was cold.
A girl approached and placed her drink order on the table Here you are Miss Reed "thanks Sarah....and I told you, it's Sammi" she assured her but she had a feeling that wasn't going to change anything. Samantha Reed. A.J and Charlotte Reed. Those were the names they were using in Washington and so far they had been working well, well enough to keep hidden from her family at least.
If they were looking for her she thought they were getting a little bit rusty. She was using a fake name for her and the babies still, working where ever she could find work while the neighbours below her watched them. This had been the exact like she hadn't wanted. The life of the single mother that had to work nights at a bar just to make sure there was enough money to put food on the tale or keep the heating bill going. It had been her own choice, not to return home, though no one seemed to care that she hadn't.
None of her family had even met the babies yet, some of them probably weren't even sure if they existed yet. The only 'family' that had were her two new found cousins were were apparently Twilight freaks and had come to Port Angeles on some sort of road trip. She could only hope that they weren't going to tell anyone, especially her father that they'd run into her.
Sammi Winchester didn't exist anymore, she couldn't if she wanted to survive, if she wanted her babies to survive. She knew that running wasn't going to be easy but she was going to do the best she could to keep under the radar.

Why did it seem to be so cold here? Blake was dressed for what seemed like the arctic. Ok... So he wasn't to the point of freezing, but he sure felt like it. Wearing a pair of jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a leather jacket, he walked into the coffee shop. He needed something to warm him up. He walked to the counter and placed his order of a vanilla carmel latte. He looked around, hoping there was an open table, though most of them were taken. He stood awkwardly for a moment before seeing an open seat. The only thing, it was near a woman with two children in a stroller. Maybe he should go ask if he could use the extra chair?
Blake looked around to see if there was anything else open, but honestly, nothing caught his attention enough. The woman was cute, but he had no intentions of hitting on her. A girl with two kids... She must be in a relationship with someone.. He decided against hitting on her. Probably not the best idea at the moment. "Blake?" A voice called from behind him. He turned around and saw a girl smiling and placing his coffee on the counter. He walked over and grabbed the warm cup... "Warmth" He thought to himself. An amazing feeling at the moment.
He turned around and focused on the girl once more. Deciding to walk over to her, he approached almost cautiously. He was still carrying his bag full of weapons and other items to help ward off supernatural being that seemed to be out for the world. Blake had only had a few close encounters... He thought he was kind of a decent hunter... But then again, compared to others, he may not have been very good. He'd only been doing it for about four years... Not a lot of time compared to a lot of hunters.
As he got closer, Blake put on a small smile and looked at Sammi. "Hello... Would you mind if I got this chair from you? He asked. He glanced at the children and smiled "Very cute children" A small smile, still on his face "I won't bother you by sitting with you, I can take the chair elsewhere if you'd like He said, sort of nervous. Why was he nervous? He shouldn't have been. Why did he suggest to sit somewhere else so quickly? Stupid... Why did you say that...

Sammi was oblivious to anyone near by until she heard the voice and she glanced up carefully. She should have been paying better attention, she knew better than anyone that even in the small town coffee shop anyone could be a demon, could have found her there. As he asked if he could take the chair she stayed silent for a moment. She felt like she'd responded but after a few seconds she realised she hadn't. "sure.." she said simply.
Her eyes fell to the kids for a second "Thanks..." she said simply it was always weird to try and comment on your own kids. Sure obviously you thought they were cute, they looked like you, and people were generally just trying to be polite or thought you wanted to hear it. "Guess they must be people seem to say that, or they just like sucking up to me" she said the last part jokingly.
"You can if you want" she said about sitting there, it didn't bother her it wasn't like she had anyone to talk to, or was waiting for anyone to join her. "I'm not waiting for anyone so the seat is free" she said simply. She should have been more guarded but she was going out of her mind in this place, at this point talking to anyone was better than talking to no one.

Blake watched the girl for a moment, wondering if she had heard him. After a few seconds, she replied and he smiled lightly. After dealing with demons, spirits, and all kinds of different evil things in the world, Blake felt like he would be able to hold his own if the girl ended up being something other than a human. He went to grab the chair before she responded to his comment on her children.
They were definitely cute little kids. Was it rude if you didn’t compliment someone’s children? He had never been told that it was… But in his mind, it was almost like a common courtesy thing. He didn’t have any children so he wasn’t sure if it was something that should be addressed when in a conversation. ”Are they your siblings?” What kind of question was that? Well, she did look fairly young… Maybe they were hers? Maybe they were siblings…
When she confirmed that no one was sitting with her, Blake felt a little awkward to just take the seat. He looked around a moment before sitting down, still holding his coffee in hand. ”Well, since I’m sitting here, it may be a good idea to introduce myself” He offered his hand out to her ”I’m Blake” He said, wondering if it was smart of him to use his real name. Well, he could play it off. He could use his usual cover for a new place. He’d have to use his first name for sure, but he could be known to anyone around that he was Detective Franklin, his usual cover, if he needed to.

She actually laughed at the concept of them being her siblings. It wasn't impossible, her parents could have had her really young and maybe these were her siblings but if that were the case she wouldn't be stuck with all the responsibility. " I wish... " she stated and thought for a minute thinking it was a horrible thing to say about her own children but well, sometimes she did wish. She had even almost been about to give them away until someone had talked her out of it, some days she still wondered if she'd made the right decision. They might have been safer separated, together it was like lighting a beacon in the fog.
"No...they're mine" she confessed turning her blue eyes to looking at the sleeping babies for a few seconds before returning them to the stranger watching to see what he would do with the chair he was seemingly gripping apparently deciding whether or not he wanted to dare turn down the offer. People really over thought things too much, it wasn't like she was going to be offended, it was just a chair.
It seemed like he decided to stay as he introduced himself to her. "Sammi" she said introducing herself back. It probably hadn't been smart to keep her name. It wasn't like the kids knew any different yet and no one in this place had known her, maybe she just wanted to avoid slipping up, especially since she had been there for so long, telling someone her name was Sara and then accidentally introducing herself as Sammi? She really wanted to avoid that, besides it wasn't like Samantha was an uncommon name, there had to be about a dozen at least in town. "new here?" she asked not that four months there made her some sort of local or anything, but she'd been around long enough now to spot the tourists, most of them were twilight freaks that she generally tried to avoid when possible.

Blake’s eyebrows shifted a bit when he heard her response ”I wish…”. Everyone had their own opinion on kids. Maybe she was babysitting. But the two babies seemed sweet. They weren’t being out of hand or anything. But that was also just for the moment; maybe they were little demons when she was the only one around. That’s one thing Blake never liked about some children… In one setting, like when they were with their parents, they were little angels… But as soon as they were separated, the kids went nuts. Not listening to anyone and being psychotic. Maybe that’s how these kids were? They’d be learning young if that were the case.
”They’re cute He said before smiling a bit and looking at them. ”What are their names?” He asked. Was he being a weird asking questions like this? Blake was the kind of guy that was typically pretty quiet, but right now, he wasn’t being conservative at all. Maybe it was because this girl was attractive? It seemed like he was a lot quieter when he hung around guys… What the hell was wrong with him? Why was he acting so differently? Maybe he was trying to impress her…
Blake smiled when she said her name ”Short for Samantha? Or is that your real name?” He asked. He didn’t know too many Samantha’s, but the ones he knew never really like the nickname ‘Sammy, Sammi, or Sam’, though a lot of people referred to them by those names. Personally, he like the name Samantha, but he also really liked the nickname. He nodded to answer he question ”Is it that obvious? I mean… Do I smell like I just came from Texas or something?” He joked. Blake had heard jokes from others, that people from Texas smelled like cow manure, hopefully that wasn’t his case.

Their names? Was that information she was willing to give up to a complete stranger. She supposed it didn't really matter if she gave out their first names, she was using a fake last anyway, and besides she didn't even call them by their given names. She didn't know what it was with her family and nicknames but she couldn't even remember going by anything other than Sammi...just like Ben and J.J had never been 'Benjamin' and 'John' maybe when they were in trouble or something. She could barely remember Ben being around let alone getting into trouble. Talk about favorites, J.J could say what he wanted about her, but Ben had been the favorite and they both knew it.
"A.J and Charlie" she said. "Charlie's a girl" she said quickly not that you could miss the fact, she was head to toe in pink, and had the longest lashes framing her little blue eyes, but sometimes people got confused by the name. "Short for Samantha I think, legally but never gone by it" for whatever reason for as long as she could remember she'd always just been 'sammi' maybe it had started affectionately and just stuck, maybe it had been on purpose, she had no idea. Nor, she supposed would she ever find out because she wasn't planning on going back home.
"Small city..." it wasn't even a city " I've been here long enough now to know when someone isn't from here" she admitted, and it had only taken a total of about four months. Less than 20 thousand people, and the number seemed like a lot to saw out loud but it really wasn't... you got to know the locals, the shop owners, their families and suddenly everyone knows your life story. Luckily, her life story was complete bullshit otherwise she never would have been able to stay hidden for very long.

Blake looked to the babies, smiling at Charlie as he did so. ”They’re both adorable.” He said nodding and taking a drink from his coffee. The warm liquid running down to his stomach seemed to set off a growl. It had just occurred to Blake that he hadn’t eaten all day. Oh well, now was not the time. He didn’t want to be rude by eating in front of this girl that he had just met. That seemed like it would be rude to him.
He turned his attention back to Sammi and smiled a little ”Ah, I like Sammi. That’s a very pretty name.” He said with a nod. He shook his head lightly and chuckled at himself ”I’m sorry… I’m not trying to seem like I’m hitting on you” He confessed. Though she was a very pretty girl, Blake definitely did not want to seem like he was trying to get with her. It just seemed like he could do nothing but compliment her. ”So, Sammi… What do you do in this ‘oh so exciting town’?” Being new to town sucked. Blake had been dealing with the feeling for a while now. It wasn’t something you really got used to, no matter how long you’ve done it… There’s always that feeling of being the new guy in town, not knowing anyone or where anything is. In his opinion, being the new guy sucked…
His shoulders shrugged as he smiled a bit ”That’s very true… This place isn’t very big is it?” He asked rhetorically. ”And how long have you been here? It sounds like you must be a local, born and raised.” Being a small city, Blake kind of liked the feel. That’s the same type of place that he had always wanted to live. It seemed like a smaller city would be a good place to raise a family, because everyone knew everyone. It seemed to him that Sammi had made a good choice in raising her children here.

"Right..." she said looking down for a moment "God, why would you do that" she said a hint of sarcasm in her voice as though it were the most foreign idea in the world. Being hit on was not exactly something strange to her, but it was a lot less familiar as of late, especially in a town where everyone knew at least some of her business meaning they knew she was a teen mother more or less, not a very interesting topic for discussion, if they only knew the truth, things would get a lot more interesting.
"Whatever's available" she said about what she did in town. Some nights she bar tended, taught early morning Yoga, worked a serving shift at the cafe. She could only thank God that her neighbours staying home and were really nice people, it meant they could stay with her kids and she seemed more than happy to take care of them when needed and it had made Sammi's life a little easier. "I work at the bar sometimes, pretty much the only lively place in town" she admitted. She had always been one for bars, it was that fact that had gotten in in trouble. Sneaking to the outskirts of town hanging out in the same bar where her parents had met had been where she'd had her second run in with the anti-christ. If only she'd known then to run.
"small enough" she agreed and actually laughed when he said she sounded like a local. "wow I must be a fantastic actor then, or just a very quick study because truth is I've only been here for four months...a little less" thinking back on when she'd come there it seemed like a lifetime ago. " a little after they were born" she said nodding to the babies. Four months old and no one knew they existed, well J.J knew... whether or not he'd told her parents was another story but she doubted it, and if he did well, she supposed it didn't really matter.

Blake smiled a little at her comment. Well, honestly, she was very pretty, but he didn’t want to be coming off that way. It was probably stupid of him to actually say what he had though. ”Do you want the truth?” He said before laughing a bit. He wasn’t quite expecting her to actually want him to express what he was thinking, though, if she did, he would not hesitate to say.
His interest was peaked when she mentioned that she worked at a bar. ”Oh, that has always been one of my biggest weaknesses” He paused a moment ”Oh God… Now I sound like an alcoholic” Blake shook his head. ”I didn’t mean it like that. I was meaning to say that I’ve always had an interest in bartending” He said, trying to correct his mess up. Blake sighed ”Well, now that I sound like an alcoholic that’s trying to hit on you… How would you like to go grab a beer some time? Or, if you can’t find a sitter for the kids, maybe we could just hang out at Toys R Us” He said jokingly.
”Fantastic ‘actress’” He said with a smile. Sure, he was being a little up front, but why not? It had been a very long time since he had been able to sit down and have a real conversation that didn’t have to deal with demons or ghosts. He was having fun, and so far, he was enjoying the conversation. ”That’s not very long, but it gives you time to meet a lot of people and make some connections. What brought you here?” He asked. Knowing his own reasons were hunting, he was curious as to why people may live here otherwise.

"Isn't it everyones?" she asked but then again maybe that was just coming from a girl who had spent her entire teenage life sneaking in and out of them, and coming from a household where, despite his best efforts to hide it, she knew her father was borderline alcoholic. When you drank to forget, or to try to fix your problems, thats when the lines of danger crossed. Luckily, she'd been stopped dead in her tracks with the whole drinking thing when she'd gotten pregnant, which considering her past experiences with using it to cope, probably wasn't the worst thing and she hadn't touched it since, unless she was serving it to someone else of course, which she did every other night.
"you thought the solution to not sounding like an alcoholic who's trying to hit on me was to ask me out for a beer?" she ask with a bit of a laugh, well really... he has basically counter acted both of his denials in the one sentence. " I think they're a little young for toys r us" she said even though she knew it was a joke, but really they didn't currently know the difference between a toy and their own siblings foot. Not that she had seen at least, besides that stuff was expensive the kind of expensive she really couldn't afford to waste money on. Kind of sad actually, she couldn't even get her kids decent toys, or any for that matter.
"Seemed like a good place to hide?" she admitted. " I meant really who is their right might wants to come here?" she asked. Twilight tourists...weird crowd, evidentially related crowd as she'd run into two long lost cousins doing just that here. After that she'd considered leaving but who were they going to tell? They hadn't even known the other existed until then and it hadn't exactly gone...fantastically well. "I came here from Vegas which admittedly was just as equally good of a hiding place, but too many people knew I was there" she realised she sounded like a criminal, or something.

Blake shrugged ”Well, it depends. Some people would rather go to a club than a bar. I personally think you can find more interesting people at a bar. At a club, you go to dance and that’s about it… That’s been my experience anyway.” He paused a moment before laughing a bit at himself ”And you don’t want to see me trying to dance” Honestly, he wasn’t the worst dancer in the world, but he wouldn’t call himself good either. Blake may put himself in the average category.
He couldn’t help but laugh a little when she answered him ”Good point… Maybe I was hitting on you a bit.” He said before continuing ”But, I can assure you that I am not an alcoholic. I figured a beer would be a nice way to get to know you more… Though, I’m open for dinner as well” Blake couldn’t believe he was doing this. But, he had already started, he wasn’t about to stop. Plus, what could it hurt? She could say no, and he could shake it off and move on… Or she could say yes, and maybe he’d get a great friend out of it… Who knew at this point? ”Well, don’t that have a ‘Baby’s R US?’ Honestly, I couldn’t tell you the difference. Hell, it’s my treat. Dinner for you and a few toys for the kids”
That was very true… Who would really want to come here? Blake was here to start out a hunt… But honestly, who would really want to live there? There didn’t seem like there was anything to do. He couldn’t help but laugh a little ”All the way from Las Vegas? That’s the ultimate city I hear… I’ve never been there, but I’m sure if you really wanted to, you could make yourself disappear there. You can disappear from anywhere if you really want it that badly”

"I can't really drink yet anyway" she admitted, she could have if she had enough time to get it out of her system but they hated formula so it wasn't really an option. Plus legally, she wasn't supposed to be drinking yet anyway so there was also that. But then she also wasn't supposed to be working in a bar either so there was a lot of grey area.
"Can't say the same" she chimed in quietly about her dancing skills. God she'd missed it, but of course the type of dancing she did wasn't exactly club dancing, it was all technique, artistry, not exactly the kind of thing you busted out at the club, not that she had ever been to one. In retrospect her bar experiences were pretty isolated to the Cicero area and only the ones where she knew she wouldn't be recognized, or at least they really didn't give a damn how old she was, and those were few and in-between.
Starting dancing again was the reason she'd gotten her body back to normal so quickly, she'd wasted no time, and the open spaces of the loft had been the perfect place to experiment. Course she'd had to make sure she didn't kill herself trying any flips for the first little while, tricks could wait, for now she needed to get her balance, flexibility and core back and she could worry about the rest later. Not that it really mattered whether she could dance again or not... truth was she was probably never going to get a change with it again anyway.
He wasn't going to give up apparently and well, honestly she wouldn't mind the company of someone who wasn't a local, or who had any idea who she really was, it would be nice to just kind of hang out with someone. "You don't have to buy them toys... besides I hear letting them play with cardboard boxes stimulates imagination and discipline or something" she said not that they really needed that, they were only just really becoming aware of colours and they pretty much smiled for almost anyone she wasn't even sure they knew the difference.
" I could have probably but, too many people knew I was there, the chances were eventually one of them would have found me...besides not really my kind of place, at least not to live, I like knowing the difference between day and night" she joked. In Vegas Midnight was early and if you spent all day inside the casinos you really could lose track of time.
Was that he way of agreeing to dinner? It certain sounded like it but something was tugging at the back of her mind. "How do you know I'm not married" she asked suddenly. I mean, for some people it was a logical assumption, two kids, you would at least thing there might have been someone in the picture, even if she wasn't wearing a ring, and yet he confidently assumed there wasn't. She wasn't sure if she should be impressed, or insulted, or amused that maybe he didn't really care either way.
She heard a yawn and some stretch and she looked to see A.J was waking up she knew if she didn't pick him up he would start to cry which would only start a chain reaction. Reaching over she lifted him up and snuggled him against her. His big blue eyes watched her for a moment before he started to look around at everything else that was far more interesting than the same face he saw everyday.

Blake looked a bit surprised at her. Not old enough to drink? She looked of age… Then again, who nowadays actually looked their age? Hell, even he thought he looked older than he was. People had asked him if he was in his thirties. Sure, it felt kind of crappy, but it was something he dealt with. ”Oh, well, that’s alright. You must be pretty close to twenty one” He guessed.
A smile grew on his face when Blake heard her. ”Ah, you’re a dancer, huh?” He paused a moment ”I admit… That’s really attractive. Maybe I am hitting on you a little… But I’ll stop if you’d like” Blake looked around a moment before turning his attention back on Sammi. ”How long have you danced? Is it like street dancing, or more of the theater type? I personally enjoy watching choreographed stuff better”
He nodded a little and looked at the babies ”Cardboard is fun and all, but I think stuffed animals are a little more entertaining. To tell you the truth… I had a teddy bear growing up that never left my sight until I was about ten” Blake let out a soft sigh ”Currently, Teddy, is in the closet of my parent’s house. I don’t know if I could ever get rid of him” He admitted. Was it weird that a grown man still remembered his teddy bear from when he was a kid? Who cares. It was his favorite toy growing up.
”Not the gambling type Sammi?” He joked. Truthfully, Blake wasn’t the gambling type at all. He hated risking money, it wasn’t really his cup of tea. ”I’ve only been to Vegas once. I was only seventeen so I couldn’t do a whole lot. It was a blast none the less. We got to ride rides and stuff” One of the best memories was when he saw his friend puke on the strip for heat sickness. It shouldn’t have been funny, but it was at the time… He was a teenage kids and everything seemed funny at that point.
Blake smiled lightly at her question ”To be honest… I don’t know if you’re married or not. But life is too short. If you have a boyfriend, or husband, or anyone else that can kick my ass, all you have to say is no” He said before a short pause ”But if you did have a significant other… I think you may have stopped me when I first started hitting on you” The thought occurred to him. Unless she was out for compliments… But she didn’t seem like the kind of girl to phish for compliments.
”They are truly beautiful children… Like their mother” He said with a smile ”Big blue eyes… Always get to me” He said looking into Sammi’s blue eyes. Blake took a sip of his coffee before leaning back in his seat. ”So Sammi… When is your next dance class? He joked ”I’d like a lesson”

"For as long as I can remember...Ballet and Jazz, with acro" she admitted, though with those fundamentals she could pretty much attempt any type, cept maybe tap, that had never exactly been her strongest dance, it'd been cute when she was 5 and just tapping her feet on the ground to make noise but once it had gotten a little more complicated she'd bailed pretty fast. Acro had come naturally because of Gymnastics and because of spending time copying her Mom at work
He was right she probably would have flat out told him to piss off right away if that had been the case...or then again maybe not. She didn't even know what it meant to have a boyfriend, not that she wanted one, she was otherwise occupied running her feet off trying not to have to take to living on the streets with her kids.
She looked at her kids at his comment, they both had blue eyes but only one of them had hers. It was funny actually, it seemed like they'd had an pretty even gene split, like Charlotte was all Jesse and Aramis was all her, maybe it would be different when they grew up, starting looking more like...people and less like little dolls. "They don't look much like me" she mused.
No amount of playing with baby dolls could have prepared her for this, not even the time she'd made her parents buy her those crying triplet dolls and she insisted on taking them everywhere. Even dragging J.J around the house when she was four when her parents weren't looking, it wasn't really the same. Babysitting she'd done, but the thing with babysitting was you could always give them back to their parents, she was the one getting them back now, not the other way around.
"mm I don't think so" she said simply about a lesson. "I'm trying to teach myself how to do it again can hardly go showing someone else how" she assured him.
