The Usual Suspects And What Should Never Be
Sometimes I get a feeling, deep in my soul. Sometimes I get a feeling, deep in my bones.
Hair: Light brown, with the distressing tendency to curl if he misses a haircut
Height & Weight: 5'11 - fresh off of a growth spurt and still a bit awkward in his newly lanky body. Hopefully he'll adjust before the next one hits.
Body Type: Athletic, but currently awkwardly lanky. Eventually, he'll probably be about his father's height and build, but his body is a work in progress.
Distinguishing Features: He's a hunter; he has his fair share of scars. The most interesting one is an angry pink line across his left hip- a souvenir from a werewolf. (Joe no longer turns his back on a body, however sure he is that he killed it.) He also has an anti-possession tattoo to match his father's.
Face Claim: Callan McAuliffe

It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester
I see the bad moon arising. Don't go around tonight, well its bound to take your life.
-his family (usually)
-the thrill of the chase (not that he'll admit it most of the time)
-soccer (he plays middie)
-computers (his dad sometimes mutters that he lives up to his middle namesake)
-reading (he rather likes Vonnegut)
-the taste of oranges
-the smell of engine oil (a weird one, particularly since he couldn't fix an engine to save his life, but it's oddly… nice)
-horror movies (he thinks that they're hilarious)
-plants (another one that he won't admit- he's not quite secure enough in his masculinity to admit that he likes flowers)
Dislikes:
-arguments (though that doesn't stop him from getting into them)
-his father never being around
-having to keep his 'double life' secret from his friends
-being at odds with his family (he loves them, really)
-being ordered around by people who don't know what they're doing (he can follow orders if he sees their point, but if not expect snippy questions)
-talking about feelings, his own or otherwise
-puberty (fifteen is a rough age)
-being called 'Joey'; not that it stops his sister
-nightmares (he has had vivid nightmares his entire life, but they only seem to be getting worse)
-the color orange
Strengths:
-Physical strength: he's much stronger than he looks
-Guns: he's a crack shot
-Computers: he's a tech geek
-Loyalty: he may not always show it, but once his trust is earned he'll have your back, no matter the situation
-School: classwork is time-consuming, but he's good at it
-Lying: his lifestyle rather demands it
-He's good at keeping a clear head in tense situations
Weaknesses:
-His sister is the biggest one; he would do anything to keep her out of harm's way, older and wiser or not.
-Though he doesn't have much of a hot-blooded temper, he can cool-headedly hold a grudge until the end of time
-Girls. He hasn't quite figured them out just yet.
-Driving. He has the dubious honor of having almost lost his learner's permit. God only knows what will happen when he actually takes his test.
-He's a little off-kilter in his body right now- though he's been working hard to correct it, his first impulses apply to a body five inches shorter than he currently is. Minor clumsiness is fine in most teenagers, but for a hunter? It could be deadly.
Fears:
-The standard hunter's pack of worries: death/violent dismemberment/etc. of himself or those he cares about
-Being caught out as a hunter by his 'normal' friends
-Having to choose one life or the other. He's not actually opposed to hunting, but he doesn't want to have to give up a normal life, either.
-Scorpions. Wendigo? Fine. Vampire? Hand him his knife. Scorpion? There goes a Joe-shaped dust cloud fleeing at ninety miles an hour.
Secrets:
-The whole, you know, hunter thing. He's not usually tempted to tell his 'normal' friends- he doesn't want to be sectioned, thanks, and he's noticed that people tend to be safer in ignorance- but it's still hard to lie about such a big part of his life.
-While normally pretty well-adjusted, he keeps a mental tally of every time he screw up in the field. He knows it isn't really healthy, but he tells himself that it's just so he can focus on turning weaknesses into strengths.
Habits/Quirks:
-He tilts his head to one side when he's confused
-He always needs to be doing something with his hands
Overall Personality/Appearance:
Appearance-wise, Joe gives off an overall air of not being quite done yet. He shot up five inches in the past year alone, leaving him stretched out and a little awkward in his body. (He's worked on that a lot, though- as a hunter, he can't afford to let his own clumsiness sabotage him.) People tend to notice his 'baby face,' but few notice that his eyes are considerably older than the average fifteen-year-old's. He tends to dress to blend in rather to impress- faded jeans and ratty band t-shirts are his staples. The effect is immediately ordinary- who could possibly suspect such a normal kid of anything more ominous than mailbox vandalism?
His personality can be difficult to get a read on at first. To strangers, he tends to be scrupulously polite- big smiles, calling people 'sir' and 'ma'am,' etc. He's a favorite of old ladies- "what a sweet boy," they always say, "so quiet and respectful." He is quiet, it's true, but not so much by nature as simply a function of not wanting to stand out overmuch. He likes to size up a situation before acting.
He's a friendly soul underneath the politeness, and those who know him a little better- say, his school friends- know that he's a grade-A geek, loyal to a fault, and up for anything. He has a wry, understated sense of humor- he's prone to quiet quips and one-liners that sometimes take a second to sink into his friends' brains.
The final mask comes down for his family. Around them, he can be moody and hard to deal with at times, but he makes up for it in how much he loves and trusts them. He may not like the fact that his father spends so much time away, or even get along with him much when he's around, but he trusts the man absolutely- his sister, even more so. Around his family, it's also painfully apparent that he spends most of his life lying to people- with them, he tries to be completely honest.

There Is A Monster At The End Of The Book
You're as cold as ice, you're willing to sacrifice our love. You know that you are.
Current Residence: Albany, NY
Mothers Name: Sarah Winchester
Fathers Name: Sam Winchester
Siblings: Bobbi Winchester
Pets: He secretly really wants a dog, but that wouldn't exactly fit with a hunter's lifestyle. He once kept a lizard for a few months in fourth grade, though. He named it Lysander, and was crushed when he died. Salting and burning the body was probably overkill, looking back.
Overall History:
It took a little while for Joe to realize that his family was a little different from other people's. He was named after two deceased family friends- that was normal. But the ways that Jo and Ash had died? Yeah, not exactly a car crash or cancer. Other kids had older siblings who taught them to ride bikes or helped with homework- his big sister taught him to shoot a pistol and told him neat tricks to remember the order of the words in Latin exorcisms. Other dads travelled on business- his dad did as well, but his business travel involved fewer meetings and more shotguns packed with rock salt. By the time four-year-old Joey toddled off to kindergarten, he already had more secrets than his peers would accumulate in high school.
He didn't dislike the life, per se, but he did have to wonder why his dad chose to raise him and his sister as hunters. His father didn't exactly pour his heart out about his own upbringing, but Joe was smart enough to gather that even then, Sam still resented his father for raising him as he did. The logical question, Joe pointed out, was then: why raise his children like that? He was never quite satisfied with the answers he got- it seemed to him, the more one knew about the supernatural world, the more likely one was to have problems with it.
Growing up, he learned to juggle classes and friends and sports with his training. By the time his father deemed him old enough to tag along on hunts without being a nuisance, his school friends accepted that his family was strict, and no, he couldn't sleep over this or any weekend. Had Sarah not been a loving mother, Joe might have resented his father considerably more- as it were, he still chafed at the bit from time to time. He loved his father, and trusted the man, but he still scanned the crowds at his soccer games in the vain hope that he might have decided to take an interest in the other parts of his son's life.
These days, he not only has to deal with monster hunts and an ever-absent father, but also with constant discussion of the future. At school, he's expected to be starting to make decisions about college- which he doesn't even know if he wants to attend. He knows that his father did, but was dragged back into the world of hunting. Does he want to make that decision? Can he even try to sacrifice one half of his life for the other?

Dream A Little Dream Of Me, Bloody Mary
I never meant to be so bad to you, one thing I said that I would never do.
This was not a good day to be Joe Winchester. Most days were at least passable, many were downright good, but today? He should have just cut his losses at lunch.
He stared down at the cause of his current mood. "College Planning and Application Workshop" proclaimed the offending piece of paper in unnecessarily colorful print. Below, the phrases "mandatory for all sophomores" and "9 PM Tonight" glared up at him. Great. Just what he needed- wasting a night listening to the thoroughly incompetent college counseling office trying to bore him to death on a topic that he had no desire to discuss with anyone just now. College applications were nearly two years off, now- even if he wanted to go to college.
He sighed, tucking the paper away into his backpack with less care than usual. He had planned to do some target practice with Bobbi tonight- his newest sawed-off still didn't feel quite right in his hands. And he had soccer practice to get to, and homework besides. That was his life right now- he didn't have time to waste on pondering some nebulous future that might or might not ever actually come to pass.
Swinging his bag back onto his shoulders, he stepped out of the school building and crossed to his bike. His mind ran through a possible list of people with whom he could discuss his concerns, but dismissed them all. Mom? She would just tell him to follow his heart, and his heart and head were both too involved to be objective. Bobbi? He loved her, but she was a hunter first and foremost- she never seemed to feel as conflicted as he did about keeping the two lives separate. Dad? Hah, as if he could even broach the subject. He knew that Dad had gone to Stanford, and would logically probably support him if he chose that route, but he just couldn't bring himself to broach the topic. Even if Dad were around to ask.
For now, he would just ignore it. He had two years left to make his choice- he needn't fuss about it now. Right. He'd just put it out of his head. This train of thought was totally over. Completely.
He was still stewing over it when he dismounted in front of his house.

This application was made by JUL!ET. She worked really hard on

Dean Winchester Romeo mad by stealing it now would you?
He'd have to come after you with a stick. It wouldn't be pretty,
