Alright so I have forced Kaleb to go through a maturing process (sorta). Where as he was once completely devoted to the hunt and killing off the things that go bump in the night he is starting to let his emotions play a bigger part in his life. Basically I would like a plot where Kaleb is forced into a situation where he has to choose between his duty as a Hunter and his own personal feelings. Anyone have any ideas?

He discovers that he possesses a talent for something. Singing, painting, cooking... something like that. And he suddenly wants to pursue that instead of hunting, for some reason?

I only skimmed over his profile briefly but honestly, when I think of the tear being hunting and the emotional level, it's usually because of wanting to settle down/finding love and honestly thinking about the aspects of hunting itself. Hunting is a job where you're eventually going to die young, or you die in some terrible way, and because of why? Saving a few people who will never remember your name, in the broad terms, nobody remembers you, nobody thanks you. The world is oblivious so what is the point of risking your life for random strangers that in the long run, you're not going to have a connection to. If Kaleb is grounded with someone (girlfriend or this secret son of his), then that only makes the whole risking life thing a little bit even bigger because he may not want to leave that certain individual behind, or maybe just wanting a normal life for one. Anyways, I'm not even entirely sure if any of that just made sense but anyways, if he gets a pull back into the hunting world, why just not make it something big and hit at home. The only thing that entirely come to my mind is since his clan is based in Ireland, but they send their proteges out of the country. I'm not sure if it means their is fewer of them or not, but if it does translate into them being a little weaker, then something can easily attack his clan in Ireland and then you have that tug and pull between wanting the normal life and staying with whoever it is in the States, or having to go back to the life he left behind to his Clan, who purposely sent him away in the first place, regardless if it was in his best interest or not. So, that's my word ramble for the day, not even sure if any of this just made sense, but whateves. Just something for you to go off of if you want.

I like both ideas actually. Kaleb does have a talent in the guitar but he has never tried to pursue the talent due to his chosen lifestyle, he never had time. And if a girl was able to get close enough to him and asked him to settle down then he would be tempted to try. Both are great ideas, thank you.
