"You know some of us are actually trying to study..." Cas had complained to his roommate but it seemed that his complaining was to no avail because evidently the guy really didn't care. The dangers of rooming with a stranger were the facts that you never really knew what you were getting into until it was already too late and there you were stuck in the situation. "At least put some headphones on man" He begged but again, no response and the video game was way too loud for his liking.
With a sigh he packed up his books and headed the only place he was pretty sure he could get some peace and quiet, the library. Grabbing his bag he made his way through the maze that was the University until he finally reached the library. Outside Michegan was not exactly his favorite place in the middle of winter, especially when he was used to 80 degrees all year round. Course, it wasn't his first winter, but even his boarding school hadn't gotten this cold, it was definitely a whole new experience.
As he took at seat at the first open table he slipped his headphones on and pulled up the water music on his ipod. Sad really how much he clearly missed home, the surf that he had fallen to having to listen to a reproduction of it just to get calm and in the frame of mind to succeed at anything, especially school work. Closing his eyes for a moment he let it all sink in before he turned his attention back to his psychology text book and started taking notes on the reading.
University was sort of...whatever. He loved to learn, but he hated being evaluated on it, he enjoyed the classes, the readings, even his assignments it was having someone scrutinize them that was a pain, especially considering he had no intentions of putting any of his studies to real use, at least not in the form of any sort of office job. Shipping heir or not, he could learn enough about the business sure but that wasn't really his thing despite how much his Grandfather wanted it to be, he couldn't force something that wasn't there.
If it mean losing his money, fine, Cas never really cared about it anyway, he would have been just as happy being back home living on the beach commune surfing everyday working at some dingy restaurant just to get by. Didn't sound like the dream life but to him, it sounded like perfection.
