Kaleb stood his ground anticipating something, anything. A punch seemed the likely course, and while she may appear small and fragile he knew she probably packed a big punch. He had to refrain from flinching when she finally spoke. And then the most unexpected thing happened, she kissed him.
Kaleb was so caught off guard he nearly forgot what he was supposed to do in this situation. After a moment he began to reciprocate the kiss, softly at first, then with more intensity. After what seemed am eternity he broke the kiss and struggled to find the right words to say.
He smiled at her as he said "Bobbi Winchester, if I didn't know any better I would think you just kissed me". He laughed lightly as he said "Thank you. For not punching me I mean, that might have ruined my initiative". He sat there quietly awaiting for her response. Joking probably wasn't the best response she was hoping for but Kaleb couldn't help himself. He joked when he felt nervous. However at the same time he felt perfectly fine, comfortable in fact.

She didn't know what she was expecting from the situation but reciprocation hadn't actually been one of the possibilities on the forefront of her mind. Why would he reciprocate? Then again, he was a hunter who spent most of his time on the road, why wouldn't he. A strange relief came over her that he hadn't just told her she was way off base, which she knew she was, but she couldn't fight instinct, he'd been the one to say so. She found her hand on his neck, her fingers curling into his hair as she kissed him.
When he broke the kiss it sort of finally settled in exactly what she had done. Talk about creating an awkward situation, what was she thinking she was just a kid, and he knew it, it was probably why he teased her so much. "I'm sorry...." she said after it had sunk in. "Actually I'm not" she said as though she had only just realised it. He had been the one telling her to quit bottling things up and just let it out, maybe she hadn't exactly chosen the best moment, five minutes after meeting a stranger, but she wasn't sorry
"I could always still punch you if you're really that disappointed, but I'd rather not have to" she confessed, She was actually finding she would rather kiss him again, if for no other reason than to shut him up because she felt like she was never going to live that action down, and maybe it was a good thing. "I guess I decided I should give being impulsive a try" and she found, it really wasn't half bad, but she also knew despite all his flirting she never should have done that. Maybe he had a wife somewhere, or a girlfriend, the last thing she needed was another pissed off girlfriend, she'd almost been killed by the ghost of the last one. "Look I'm not sorry I did it but i'm sorry if I got you into any kind of trouble with someone, I should have thought first" the problem with impulse you did what you wanted, shoot first ask questions later.

Kaleb almost broke put laughing when she apologized for the kiss. Why the hell would you apologize? He definitely enjoyed it, and he felt as though she did to even if she didn't openly admit it.
When she said she could always punch him, he had a hard time not cracking a smile. Instead he reached over and placing his hand gently on hers he grinned and said "I would prefer we stick with your idea lovely, it seems a lot more fun and less dangerous for my health".
When she mentioned someone else Kaleb had to cock his head to the side slightly. Was there someone else? Not the last time he checked. Did it worry her that he might be taken by someone else? Then why would he have kissed her in the first place?
He slowly moved closer and kissed her again, deeper than before. He lingered there a moment before breaking the kiss AMD smiling at her he said "You need to stop apologizing. You kissing me is not a bad thing, its a very nice thing. I very much enjoyed it". He laughed lightly before slowly backing away. That second kiss might have been too much for her, he silently hoped not

"So we are both in agreement that punching you is not the best response to the situation" she told him her voice was different than before she sounded a lot less guarded more like, well, herself.
She had been completely caught off guard this time. She wasn't really sure what she had expected his reaction to be or where she thought it was going to go next but there, on the bed his hand on hers kissing her again. She was completely out of her element which was not a feeling she was used to, though she had to admit wasn't exactly bad either.
As she watched him pull away for the second time she actually let herself smile, just a little bit. " well maybe if you're lucky it won't be the last time " not like she was going anywhere or anything at least no time soon. Climbing forward she placed a quick and fleeting kiss on his cheek. Using he thumb she gently brushed the skin where her lips had touched. " good night Kaleb"

Kaleb smiled at her as she noticeably let her guard down. It was nice, seeing her relax with him a little bit. When she kissed him on the cheek and told him goodnight he closed his eyes and stifled a yawn. He was tired, he had been running on adrenaline the past few days and could use the rest.
He slowly rose and walked over to the other bed where he curled up underneath the covers. Before he turned the light off he smiled at her again before saying "Goodnight Bobbi". With that he turned off the lamp enveloping the room in darkness. Kaleb turned over on his side and closed his eyes.
He slowly drifted off to sleep to the sound of her breathing. It was like a single lullaby that made him feel comfortable and relaxed. It didn't take long before he fell asleep. His moment of peace and tranquility only lasted a second before the nightmares kicked in, another mark of the trade. One he endured every night. And so Kaleb rolled into a night of fitful sleep, waiting for the sun to rise and the new day to begin.

Sleep, and Bobbi had never really gotten along. She blamed her over active mind and the thoughts that seemed to race through her mind in the silence. Tonight, however was different because she wasn't alone, there was something else to concentrate on. She had quickly turned away from him so her was staring at the wall trying to calm her mind enough to drift to sleep, which had worked, for a while until that all too familiar feeling settled over her, waking her up.
The familiar sounds of a restless sleep had done it and she'd almost for a moment thought she was at home hearing her brother's nightmares. Sitting up she turned her dark eyes to see Kaleb was the culprit, and maybe it was the groggy idea of the early hours of the morning, or maybe she genuinely just wanted to help, perhaps she was just used to having to do it for her brother that she didn't even think twice about it. Climbing from her bed she sat on the bit he wasn't sprawled over and lightly ran her fingers through his hair, pushing it back off his face. "sssh" she said softly hoping the distraction would held.
With her free hand she took his and kept hold of it trying to keep herself from nodding off which was hard for every few moments she felt her head begin to fall and she would quickly snap back up to attention. Eventually, at some point she'd given in and fallen asleep beside him, she was completely out cold until the early lights of the sunrise began to peek through the curtains.

Kaleb's nightmares were always rough. One in particular rang out in his subconscious. In the dream a person he knew would be dragged into the darkness by the grotesque hands of the monsters he killed. For so long it had been Damian he saw but tonight it was Bobbi. She called for him and reached out but he couldn't save her.
As soon as he felt something touch him Kaleb's eyes shot open. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dark but he could feel someone holding his ha d and brushing his hair. The feeling brought back old memories of his long past mother, memories that had been buried long ago. Once his eyes adjusted enough he could see it was Bobbi besides him. He watched as she struggled to stay awake before finally giving in to sleep.
Kaleb tentatively reached over and gently picked her up and layer her next to him in the bed. He couldn't tell what he was thinking. Maybe he thought he was still dreaming, only this dream was so much better than the last. He brought her under the covers with him and pulled her close where he wrapped his arm around her. It felt amazing to be in bed with someone and not worry about whether or not they wanted to kill you. He slowly drifted back into sleep only this time with no nightmares.

For the first time since she could remember Bobbi slept peacefully. No tossing and turning, no checking to see if her knife was still under her pillow, no staring at the ceiling wondering if something, or someone at any moment was going to burst through the door and attack, she just...slept. Subconsciously she was aware of the fact that she was being held, but she wasn't actually sure she had processed the actual idea. All she really knew was she felt warm, safe and comfortable.
The sounds of someone else's breathing in sync with hers was keeping her in the lull of sleep was new, in fact sharing a bed with someone was new, not that she would ever confess that fact to anyone. Shifting in her sleep she moved herself closer against him, resting her forehead against his chest, her arm finding itself around him in return. For a moment everything was perfect, there was nothing to worry about, at least until reality began to set in. As a small sliver of light hit her face she squinted her eyes and slowly began to pull out of her deep sleep, becoming one again aware of her surroundings. It took about a half a second for her to go from completely relaxed to completely frozen.
Her dark brown eyes were definitely opened now as he mind raced to piece together the events of last night. She wasn't breathing again, that much was evident. Her arm slipped carefully from around her and her hand went over her own mouth to prevent any sort of verbal freak out from happening. When had she gotten into bed with him? What was she thinking? She remembered now, and she must had just...fallen asleep there. Oh god, and he was probably completely oblivious.
Biting her lip she thought to herself wondering what he best option was. In this moment, it seemed like a sneak away was in the cards. Carefully, and slowly she began to move again, trying to slip herself out of his arms without waking him up, if she could just get back to her bed, he would be blissfully ignorant that she'd fallen sleep there. Right? Well, it seemed logical to her at least. Most girls probably dreamed of waking up with a guy like this, and here she was trying to pretend it hadn't happened.

Kaleb had slept wonderfully. Who could have known that he slept better with someone he cared about next to him? Strange things always seemed to sprout up with Kaleb. It wasn't until he felt a stirring beside him that he slowly started to wake up. He cracked his eyes slightly to see Bobbi cuddled up next to him with a look of horrified realization plastered on her face.
He slowly lifted his head up and looked her straight in the eyes as he said "I swear I don't snore all the time". What else was he supposed to say? He hoped she wasn't horrified at the idea of sleeping next to him in bed. That would be a major mood killer. He gently pulled her back closer to him as he said "I might have to make a habit of this, you do wonders for my sleeping problems".
He smiled at her as the last bit of sleep slowly faded away into realization. They had only met last night and already they had fallen asleep in each others arms. Though some might see this as moving a little too fast, in their line of work life had to be lived in the fast lane. Relationships like these were too far and in between. And Kaleb was happy for once in the past few months. He smiled and kissed her on the cheek lightly as he said "Good morning Bobbi". He knew he should get up but he honestly didn't want to, the decision would have to be left to her.

She actually laughed at his statement, she couldn't help it and well it had sort of put her at ease. "If you did I didn't notice" she admitted she had been in way too deep of a sleep to hear anything that didn't solve the mystery though. She wasn't so freaked out by the idea of having fallen asleep next to him as he was the question of how on earth she had gotten there...the last thing she really remembered was falling asleep...by herself, in her own bed. "how did I end up over here?" she asked that was her main concern just because it was so clearly escaping her memory.
Admittedly he did wonders for her too, whether or not it was him, or just the fact that someone had been there was an entirely different story she had no idea. For once she didn't feel like hell first thing in the morning like she'd had a total of twenty minutes sleep and the morning had just crept up on her out of nowhere, she actually felt rested. She didn't fight him pulling her close again because she actually liked the warmth, she was suddenly dreading the cold feeling that was going to hit her skin the second she got up.
She actually smiled again when he kissed her cheek and she blinked at his words. Wow, it had just dawned on her that no one had every said good morning to her before when she'd woken up. It seemed weird thinking on it but it was usually 'time to get up' or as she got older 'get your ass out of bed' and Those were usually her brothers loving words. It seemed so simple... yet apparently so easy to over look. "Morning..." she let the warm safe feeling linger for a minute before she remembered what they were even doing together in the first place. He had knocked off her attitude in one night. Well, maybe not completely but in the moment she didn't have anything snarky to say, or any witty comments she just wanted to stay there. Pressing her lips against his she kissed him for just a moment but she made herself stop. That was crossing into dangerous territory she really didn't want to step into just yet.
"Alright Romeo hate to break the warmth but we have skinwalkers to track remember?" she reminded him. Romeo. Interesting choice of words, or maybe she was anticipating some sort of tragic end to their connection, maybe it was just the first thing that had popped in her mind she really didn't care at that point.

Kaleb couldn't help but smile when she kissed him. It was nice, simple and enjoyable. He allowed a moment of relaxation before he slowly started to rise out if bed. They had a busy day ahead if them. He stretched out the sleep from his muscles and laughed when she called him Romeo.
He turned slowly as he said "But soft what light through yonder window breaks, it is the East and Juliet is the sun. Therefore rise fair sun and kill the envious moon who is already pale and white with grief that thou art maid is far more fair than she". He smiled and leaned over and kissed her again as he said "Sorry Juliet but I don't plan on either of us dying anytime soon".
He then reached into his bag and pulled out some clothes as he said "Oh and last night I woke up to you sitting on my bed asleep. I figured you were drawn to me subconsciously so it would be a shame to deny such a beautiful girl my bed for the night". He winked at her before dropping his sweatpants and walking into the bathroom to get dressed and do his morning rituals.

"and literate too... I'm impressed" she admitted. No that she thought hunters were well...illiterate or anything but they were generally a tough crowd, not the type to sit around and quote shakespeare, or any author really. Her father had been the exception but well... like her he was kind of a nerd, okay...he was more than kind of.
"Good to know" she admitted as he commented on the death thing though that was generally something you planned on really, other wise more people would just avoid it easy as pie. "Winchester curse evidently we can't die...even if we want to" she joked though it wasn't that funny. She'd heard of how her grandfather had traded his life for her Uncle Dean's and how her Uncle had done the same for her father it was like a vicious cycle one she hoped had stopped though...truthfully she knew it hadn't. Max had told her what happened with her cousin...she'd died and been brought back to life. How, she didn't really want to know but she just hoped that wasn't going to happen to her, there was just something unnatural about living more than one life.
"What?" she asked trying to think back on the night and it suddenly clicked into her memory. "You were having a nightmare..." she recalled, it must had just been instinct to help. " I guess I'm used to being on Mom duty for my brother when he has his" she explained, after all their Mom never came on hunts with them and she and Joey's room shared a bathroom so he was pretty easy to hear. Standing up she went to her bad digging through and she sighed. She was gonna have to make a trip to a laundromat sometime soon, she was running out of clean clothes. Finding a clean outfit she tossed those clothes on the bed as she packed up the rest.
"Do you have bad dreams a lot?" she asked him curiously. It wasn't unheard of, most of them did, even she was victim to a bad dream or two, but she'd tried her best to desensitize herself to the stuff that went on and truth was she hadn't really lost anyone she cared about to a hunt, not in the fatal sense.

Kaleb finished with his morning preparations and got dressed before exiting the bathroom. He wore a simple dark grey hoodie today with a pair of dark blue jeans, Kaleb was never the kind to dress up in real nice clothes unless someone forced him to. When she commented on his Shakespeare he offered a quick wink before sitting down to put his boots on.
As he tied the laces in double knots he listened to her talk about her family. He smiled when he realized that she had been trying to comfort him last night while he had his nightmare. No one had ever done that for him before, the idea of it was unnatural to him.
When she asked if he had lots of nightmares he couldn't help but tense up. He stared off into space for a moment before saying "Yes, but they are usually the same dreams, just with different victims". He didn't have the heart to tell her that she was the one in his dream last night. The feeling of helplessness he had felt, being unable to save her, still lingered in the back of his mind. He turned his concentration on his weapons as he asked "What about you? Any big nightmares? I would like to know the signs for when I might be able to sneak into YOUR bed next time". He smiled to himself as he loaded his pistol and holstered it before pulling his brother's compound bow to full extension and examining it.

"Don't get your hopes up... I don't have them that often" she admitted. Hell, she barely slept enough to dream, she never hit that stage of sleep, she was almost always half awake, just to be safe. She disappeared to shower, quickly and change, she wasn't going to bother doing anything with her hair, she'd let it air dry because no matter what she did to it, it always ended up the same mess of curls anyway. She grabbed the gun she had taped behind the toilet tank and hid it on her person.
There were the obvious weapons in the room but she'd pretty much played out every scenario in which she might be left weaponless and she'd hid a weapon there. So, she wandered around gathering her hidden forces packing them into her mini armoury, a.k.a her duffel bag. Her weapons bag was probably bigger than her clothes bag which was weird...for a girl especially but she didn't really need a lot she wore the same boots everyday which seriously cut down on storage room. She was more or less ready to leave, as she had to be at a moments notice now all that matter was getting it into the car and getting out.
She sat back on the bed for a moment letting her racing mind catch up to the crazyness of the past day. What had just happened? She was still not really sure other than she found herself kissing a stranger, whom she knew pretty much nothing about aside from a first name and an accent that gave away his heritage.

Kaleb inspected his brother's bow with expert scrutiny. The weapon had been properly maintained for combat and if wielded by a decent archer it could be used to kill a lot of baddies. He slowly looked over to Bobbi as she finished preparing and sat back down on the bed. She seemed to be deep in thought, he couldnt blame her, last night had been pretty eventful.
He had only known her for one day, but already Kaleb could feel a strange pull towards her. As if she were a magnet and he were an incredibly handsome piece of metal. He smiled to himself as he inspected her. She was young, maybe twenty and athletic in build, possibly from her father's training. Her hair, though wet, was long and curly and a beautiful shade of Brown similar to her eyes. The darkness of her hair contrasted beautifully with her fair skin. It would've been difficult for any man not to be attracted to her.
Through his inspection he noticed that she had the perfect build for an Archer. He was able to notice this from memory of his brother, who always conditioned his body for archery. Without a moment's hesitation Kaleb placed the bow next to her along with the quiver of arrows. He returned to packing back up his belongings as he said "Merry Early Christmas. It folds up so it is easier to hide than it looks. It was my brother's so don't worry about if its useful, he never had any problem taking down baddies with it".
It wasn't until after he had done so that he realized he had just handed off one of the few things he had left to remember his brother. And yet even still he felt no remorse. On the contrary he actually felt happy that it would be with Bobbi, as if a ward against danger for her. He finished up his packing before turning to her and saying "Alright my lovely, are you ready for our first date? I know I am!". He laughed to himself as he moved towards the door.
